Hi! I’m Valerie.

I’m an art nut, and art is my therapy. And apparently, I need a lot of it!

I absolutely love to paint!! Cozying up in my studio, creating works that I love and pieces that others enjoy has been a passion of mine. I’m very fortunate to have the freedom to work from home to let my creative freak flag fly. (All thanks to my Hubby for tolerating and encouraging the creative madness!)

Ever since I could hold a paint brush I have been painting. I’ve been very blessed to be surrounded by successful artists within my family. Although many of them have passed away, I take with me the tools they taught me and try to carry on their legacy through my art. I owe all I know to my grandparents, aunt, and uncle. Sure, I had some professional training but there’s only so much you can learn from a classroom.

I have been very lucky to travel to Europe, the Caribbean, and various places around the US. Paints, portable easel, and stool in hand, I set out to the beautiful villages, beaches, and countryside for inspiration. Each piece I work on reflects part of the artistic journey I have been on. Great or small, I share a bit of myself in each artwork. A journey that I wish to share with you.
